My partner (unmarried) and I have been together for 5.5 years. We are currently in the UK on a working holiday visa and we have been living together here for 1.5 years. My partner has just received a job offer and we are waiting on a certificate of sponsorship before flying home to get out visas. The issue is: - We were both living in my parents’ house for 12 months before we came over to save some money to travel, but because it was my parent’s house we are now having trouble proving that we were actually living together. My partner didn't change address because his parents live 20 mins away and when we decided to live in the UK we didn’t think we would be here for that long.
What happens now....? I know they are really strict on this part of the visa and I don't know if we can get round this... I was thinking of statutory declarations from family and friends as they will be happy to provide this, but will it be enough? I am confident we can prove all other aspects of the visa application.
Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
