How certain are you? Eurostar goes also to Paris and the first country after UK is anyway France. It also says French Border control in London. I forgot to check in Brussels, but in this case they might be Belgain because there is no control between Belgium and France if the train goes within SchengenDirective/2004/38/EC wrote:I am certain there is Belgian border control for trains to/from the UK
I have never taken this train to Brussles. How certain are you?
There are generally no checks on the Belgian side for incoming trains from the UK as they would have been performed by the French border policy in London.Directive/2004/38/EC wrote:I am certain there is Belgian border control for trains to/from the UK
Directive/2004/38/EC, the OP is opening up multi-threads for the same question, you have already answered him in the previous one.Directive/2004/38/EC wrote:I should have said: if there are arrival checks, I am sure they are by the Belgian border police. I can not imagine the French border police being used for the checks.
And as you point out, and as there are in Paris Gare du Nord, the UKBA is present to do pre-departure entry checks for UK bound trains.
