student > PSW applied > want to switch to Tier 2

Post by Oliva » Mon Jun 29, 2009 3:54 pm

hi all

My student visa xpired dec'08, applied for PSW nov,08 still no result. If i withdraw my PSW application HO will definitely give me sometime ( may be 7 days or so ??) to leave UK. Can I apply for tier 2 application in person or by post within that given time or I will have to go back home ( Of course if i have my tier 2 certificate in my hand ). One more thing how long does it take to get the passport back if the application is withdrawn ?
thanks

Rather than withdrawing, perhaps it's possible to vary the application for leave?

Thanx vinny for replying. I am not clear from the links you gave whether i can vary psw application to tier2. is it worth 2 see a lawer or speak to HO. But most of the time I cannot rely on HO, as different ppl picks the phn up different time n advice differently.
