Dependant Student Visa - Rules for working?

Post by abinanthanb » Wed Jun 17, 2009 4:22 pm

If I bring my wife as my dependant and I am in student Visa, can she work? What are the restrictions for her to work? She is a professional chef, so can she look for a job in her profession?

Many thanks.

Thanks for the reply. My doubt is, is there any restriction on the duration of work (like 20 hrs per week)?

No. I don't think so.

There is no limit or restriction on the kind of work that she can do. If you like ,you can setup bussiness for her provided she was a dependant and you have been given not less than 12 months visa . I did and it work fine for me .
