Acquiring ILR

Hello All,
Is 2 year study period also considered for the 5 year period to acquire ILR or is it necessary to be working (only) for 5 years to be eligible for ILR or permanent EU residence.

Student visa will not be considered in calcuating 5 years for ILR.
