Why have you not applied for a Residence Card (Form EEA2) as a family member of your EU husband? You can usually travel visa free to most EU Schengen countries when you have this sort of permit in your passport.dehazen wrote:I'm from South Africa and my husband has a Dutch passport. We want to travel to Portugal together with our son, to visit my husband's parents who live there.
I'm struggling to get information regarding the documents I need for a Schengen Visa from the Portuguese embassy.
Can anyone help me with this, please?
Thank you.

This should read "the requirements should be the same in all schengen countries". Reality shows they are quite different, as the individual embassies have no clue about the regulations under which they work. You can sample different answers embassies give to the same question >>here<<.xjessie007 wrote:...the requirements are the same in all schengen countries.
