hi there,

I am pretty confused about the situation with my passport as i my wife is German and i am turkish, i applied for eea2 for the residence card in june 2008 but i still havent received my residence card. I recived a letter today from HO and saing Your application has now been allocated to a caseworker for action. How long takes to get my residence card

Usually doesn't take too long after it 'has now been allocated to a caseworker'. Since your application was made in 2008, the caseworker may write to you requesting further documents to prove that your EEA Family Member is still exercising their treaty rights in the UK. You'll probably get this in about two weeks time or so. Either that, or you'll just get your passport back with your RC, without them asking for further documents. But be rest assured, you're very near the end of the journey. :)

You should contact the MP for your area to ask why the home office has taken more than the legal limit of 6 months in processing your application
