Don't mean to burst your bubble but not enough info here.

1. Who is the USC - you or your b/f.

2. Whose kids are they?

3. Do you have sole legal responsibility?

4. What are your respective nationalities?

5. Where do you reside?

6. What is your status here?

7. Do you/ b/f meet the sponsorship finance criteria?

8. Does the intending immigrant have a criminal record/ US bans etc?

9. Have you met and if so how and what frequency?
Is one quicker than the other??? We were hoping to marry once in the US!!!
K1 usually smoother and definitley US government preferred route (usually due to fraud/intent aspect of in country adjustment applications) but options depend on answers to above given some posts have Direct Consular Filing and you could return to the US with a GC.
