My application 'requires further consideration'?!?! Help!

Post by Mancala Hour » Thu Jul 30, 2009 11:01 pm

I applied for a Tier 4 student visa. Today I got an email saying my visa application had just been opened and if it was "straightforward and submitted with full supporting documentation, a decision is likely to be made within 24 hours. ... If the application requires more attention, a decision will be made within 10 working days of the date of this email."

At the same time I received another email saying my application required further consideration.

I sent proof of enough money and I sent a visa letter. I'm freaked out! Has this ever happened to anyone? What does this mean? Is this commeon? Should I panic?

i'm fed up to my eyeballs with the extremely poor level of service
provided here at the ukvac  . May i know when you applied for your visa?. Also did you mail them first or did they just send you that. Further consideration..hmm..have you been rejected a visa ever? proof of english language etc all done? Always better to have a bit more in your account than amount required.

I applied on the 10th of july. They gave me 4 different accounts of the time it would take for processing. At the office they said 15 working days (which completed yesterday but no luck, as status on website still the same)
When i called the the helpline first they said 2 weeks then 25 working days, then they said 7 weeks. To think they charge almost 21,000 Rs for this appalling service is something else.

I have to buy pounds, which are rising (already crossed 138) but dont want to risk touching funds in my account till i have a decision.

I applied from the ISB visa center on the 10th of july. Whats the deal in your case? did you receive a call from the center as yet? When did they say you'd get your decision?
