Switching from WP to Tier 1- Queries-Urgent(Please respond)

Hi

I am currently in United Kingdom under the Work Permit and was planning to switch into the Tier 1 (General) highly skilled worker category.
I have few questions, for which I was looking for answers and luckily I came across this site.

1. I have done my master’s degree from India, and I have a Master’s Degree certificate and a Provisional certificate, which has 3 years
subjects, marks and exam dates. Is that equivalent to
a. Original certificate of award
b. Original academic reference from awarding body and Original academic transcript ( I am confused with this one, please help on this)

2. For English language, I have selected option Degree taught in English, and I need to provide Original Degree Certificate and Transcripts as
proof. But, my certificate does not specify anywhere that the degree was taught in English, even though it was taught in English indeed. Now,
how should I clarify this, and I’m afraid that my application will be rejected on this ground. Please let me know how to proceed on this.

3. I was planning to submit my docs by this Friday, but I am still waiting for Certificate of Comparability from UK Naric, which according to the
executive will come by 19th of August. I have received my bank statements which were printed for 1st of August from different sources as I
have earnings from India and UK.

Now if I submit my application on 20th, will the bank statements suffice or should I need to have new statements?

4. I am applying for dependent (spouse) visa at the same time as mine. So, Do I and my spouse require Police clearance certificate?
If yes, then as I am in UK does a clear certificate from local police station would suffice?
If not, please help me on how to proceed for this.

5. There are lot of sections which are not relevant. For example Section 3B, Section 3C, representative Details (if you are doing by your own)
are not at all required. Can I exclude those pages?
Also, can we exclude the help pages from the application form, before sending?

6. Details of the applicant’s Identity Card for Foreign Nationals, do we need this?

7. What is the usual time for processing Tier 1, because I may need to travel to india in the last week of Sep. And If I apply now (this week end
or next weekend), will I get my passport back, as I need to send my passport along with my application, any suggestions on this?

First thing i would like to advice u is dont do anything in haste.. while i was reading ur query i felt it soo... even if it takes 2-3days extra to clarify and verfy do it.. becos once u submit the application.. n later u find something u cant do anything.. OK

If you have ORIGINAL masters Degree Certificate and if that is found in the PBS Calculator http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/pointscalculator

just check ur University, degree, course and length of course if u find ur details here u r good to go.. Only Original Masters degree certificate is enough for educational points OK

Same as above check the University. degree and course in the PBS for the Bachelors degree if it is found u can use this for english (but ur masters degree can also be used for english..) u will know once u go throught PBS calculator; it is not mandatory for the certificate to show taught in english it is enough if it is recognised ont he PBS calculator

The bank statements for mainteance funds can be used if they are less than 1month old.. so u can apply before 30th August

I think it is NOT required - will leave a question mark "maybe" depends from which country u come from????

Yes there is chance lot of sections to be irrevelant follow the chart/directions n ask more questions in case of doubt

Leave blank if u dont have one

It will take amin of 6-8weeks for sure.. unless u r very lucky and ur caseis very straight forward but mostly 6-8weeks..

Take ur time, check recheck ask questions in doubt and apply.. dont take risk..

I have seen in the PBS Calculator, I have done MCA (Master of Computer Applicactions) from Andhra University. My university is available in the PBS Calculator, but exact degree is not available. So, I am waiting for the UK NARIC Certificate of Comparability to certify my master’s degree.
So, If UK NARIC certifies my Master’s degree, can I use that to gain points for degree was taught in English?

I received my banks statements from India (ICICI Bank) for 1 year. They gave the statement on normal A4 paper without the bank logo, but it has the ICICI stamp and signature on each and every page, will that be acceptable by ukba?

I am from INDIA, will I still need Police clearance certificate?

I am supplying bank statements and payslips (signed and stamped). Do I still need an Employer Reference letter?
Coz, I am having hard time getting that.

MCA shd be in the PBS but if can get naric certi.. good for u it buys peace of mind 4 u..I'm also from AU;

sign n stamp on each n every page is good enough.. but again if u can u get a letter that wld be gr8.. but it shd be fine;

No police certificate NOT required;

if net amt in ORIGINAL pay slip n bank statement matches exactly than employer letter NOT required;
