EEA1 or WRS for a working student??

Post by jelena » Thu Aug 06, 2009 3:04 pm

Hello everyone!
I hope people here can help me to understand what should i do better in my case.
I am a full-time university student, Latvian national (EEA),
and in mid-August starting a part-time job.
My husband is non-EA national and his family permit finishes in October.

My question now is:
do I have to apply for WRS first when start to work, then he applies for FMRS, and after a year we both apply for EEA1/2;
OR
I apply for an EEA1 now as a student (as far as I understand I do not need to register under WRS if I am a student) and then he can apply for an EEA2 straight away???

If the latter you think is better, then can I show under my financial statements when applying for EEA1 as a student that I have money from part-time job? Is that not gonna end up in rejection?

It is really important for us now to get everything right, as we already went through a long and painful appeal process and been separated for 10 months straight after the marriage...

Any advice would be appreciated!

thank you, but it still doesn't really clarify what should i do... according to this and other documents, i can apply for eea1 as a student, but if i am a student and a worker? can they refuse me the eea1?
