Post by rashismart2000 » Mon Aug 10, 2009 3:46 pm

Hi All:

I cam to uk on student visa in 2004.In 2007 I got married to a british citizen and swithed my student visa to a spouse visa.Next week i am sending my SET (M) application.and i would like to pay by Banker's Draft.

1) Do i have to fill the cheque section for the banker's draft payment method?

2) After getting ILR when i can apply for citizenship?

Thanks alot
I want to learn by sharing what I Have learnt.

1/ Dont think so
2/ You can apply the day you receive ILR as long as you meet the absence requirement especially in the last year

Hasn't this been answered at length (80 posts or so) in another forum?
Maybe not the answers the OP was hoping for or just lack of understanding?

Naturalisation Process

Post by justice_will_reign » Tue Aug 11, 2009 12:33 pm

Just wondering if anyone has recently application for naturalisation and will like to hear their experience. Some of the information I require:

1. Was your application sent by yourself or via NCS?
2. When was the payment processed from your card (i.e. from the date application was sent)?
3. Did you receive any acknowledgement for the application, if so when?
4. How long does it take to receive the approval (if you have)?
5. How long does it take to arrange for the ceremony?

I will be grateful if people with this experience described above can respond.

Thank you.
