Child's passport on PSW visa

My wife and I are both on PSW. I am about to apply in person for our two-month-old daughter's passport at the Indian High Commission. Does anyone know if they will keep my passport for the application process or keep only the photocopies and return the passport? I need it to apply for my Tier 1 next week. Thanks.

The best advise is to ring u High Commission and check with them and i am sure that most of the High Commissions do offer a same day service for extra charge in situations like yours.

re. your child's passport , go to HCi London on any week day (8.30am) , collect the coupon from the counter outside the building, submit your son's passport with a photocopy and with a self addressed special delivery envelope with appropriate stamp. they will keep the passport and return both the passport within three working days by post. otherwise you could collect it from there after three working days.
