Do companies prefer Tier 1 General over Tier 1 Dependant while rolling out job offers?

Depend on the company. I have experienced that company do prefer Tier-1 candidate over candidate with dependent visa due to dependency of candidate on main applicant. But also many dependents are working fine too. First of all it's on your skill set and requirement of the company. If company got enough options than they make choices else they hire anybody they get with valid leave to remain and work.
