visit visa - accomodation documents required ?

Hi,

I am applying for family visit visa of my father, mother and sister.

Do i need to provide proof of accomodation where they will stay, like hotel reservation ? as my own flat is 1 bedroom where i am living with my spouse and as per council tax band is suitable for 2 people.

or no accomodation proof is required for visit visa ?

Proof required, if you're the sponsor. Your one-bed flat will not suffice for an extra three people, unfortunately.

Will booking with hotel work ? I can book it online and attach the print of the invoice.

Ideally if your parents are coming for a short period, you dont need to make extra arrangements (i.e the conucil tax bill or unility bill) should be fine along with the declaration form from yr side which states that all the boarding expences will be taken care by you..

The reason for my statement is last year my colleague applied for the visa for his parents via same route.. and he lives in 1 BHK.... he did not make any additional arrangements...
