Dependent Visa for Iranian spouse of Indian man in Ireland

Post by sandyh2001 » Sat Aug 15, 2009 6:44 pm

Hi All

I am an Indian national working in Ireland on a Working Visa , since November 2006.(Extended in Nov 2008 upto Nov 2010)
I am planning to wed my Iranian girlfriend soon, who is resident in India for the last 7 years.
Could someone let me know:

1) Whats the procedure for application of Spouse visa , for a spouse of an Indian working on a 'Working Visa'? I have seen the irelandinindia.com website and they seem to have the visa requirements only for people on Work Permits. Are the requirements the same?

2) My girlfriend holds an Iranian passport, will the procedure that may apply to her be any different from the procedure for an Indian spouse?

3) She is currently holding a student visa in India. Will her visa status likely cause issues with her application.

4) Is there a requirement for my passport to contain her name as my spouse and her passport to contain my name as spouse, as part of the visa application OR just the marriage certificate will do.

Many thanks

Here are the Visa Requirements information.

On entry, your spouse and dependent will be issued with aStamp 3 which will restrict them from taking up employment without a permission from the department of trade and industry.

FYI,

Work Permit is different from a Working Visa, the link that you have provided is for Work Permit holders.

FYI,

The Working Visa has been replaced by the Green Card, so the page you have been linked to, entitled "Family Reunification for Work Permit Holders, Green Card Holders and Scientific Researchers", is entirely correct.
