Evidence of job search for EC purpose

Post by buntosanya » Thu Oct 13, 2005 7:48 pm

Hi All

Please i will like to know if the embassy is so particular about the evidence of job search.

I have experience in financial sector in my Home country, and of course this is what i have on my reference letters. I intend to change career to Social Work when i get to UK and i have even gone ahead to have an NVQ4 Certificate in Social Work pending when i can enrol in the degree course.

For my job search, i am concentrating on Social Care since i have to work in that sector before i can enrol in the part time degree in UK. All part time degree in Social Work are employment based, so the earlier i start the better.

The question now is, can i present the responses i have gotten from those social care recruitment agencies as evidence of job search. Hope the embassy will not frown at the fact that i got approval based on the job i am doing here in my home country and not on social care.

Can i also present my NVQ 4 certificate in Social Work even though this is below my qualifications here in Nigeria, but is a good step in the direction of my intended Career change.

Please could you good people advise me.

Thanks.
