ILR-JR April 2009 & Claiming benefits subsequently.

Post by DMMR » Mon Aug 17, 2009 1:44 pm

Hi

I have recently got my ILR that has been backdated to March 2008 under the ILR -JR of April 2009. Based on that date, my application for citizenship has already been approved.

Has anyone come across any information that deals with backdating the child benefit and child tax credits to the date on the letter from the Home Office advising that the ILR has been backdated in light of the ILR JR ?

HMRC tells me they can only backdate it to 3 months regardless.

Thanks for all the help.
