About Maintenance - 2 Accounts

Post by ahuria » Wed Aug 19, 2009 3:47 pm

Hi,

Can anyone tell me if I can show 2 savings accounts as proof for the 2800 pounds maintenance? Individually, both these accounts drop below 2800 pounds (in INR) in the 3 month period, but the sum of the closing balances of the 2 accounts never drops below 2800 pounds.

Has anyone shown this and received the visa?

Thanks

Yes. You can use combination of two account for Visa. I used it during my extension.

Make sure combined sum of your two account should never fall below reqd sum. Also it is not closing balance of the day but "at all times".

One clarification

Thanks Chetan!

Am not clear about one thing though - what do u mean by "not closing balance of the day but "at all times". ??

Basically, I was thinking of also including an sheet (along with the detailed bank statements) that outlines the closing balance for each account on that day and then the total.

So, what you mean is that I could have had 1.4lac in one account in the opening balance, then a withdrawal of 40k and then a deposit of 40k. Which would mean that my closing balance is still 1.4 lac; however the minimum for that account on that day is 1 lac. So instead of closing balances, I should show 'min balance on every day' and then make sure the total does not drop below that?? is that what you meant?

Thanks for your help - really appreciate it!
