Changed from WP to HSMP in 2006

Hello
I had a work permit valid until dec 2006. However my hsmp got approved when i had travelled on business to india in april 2006. I got the ec stamped in india, quit my job and returned back to uk in june 06

Would i loose my time that i have spent on the WP? and clock reset for ILR?

Ur ok, WP to HSMP doesn't stop the clock. HSMP to WP does tho, or did neither exist now!

Was there a time when you had no UK entry clearance between WP and HSMP?

No
I had overlapping visas for 6 months after i got my hsmp.

i just had a word with the home office. they said it does not matter.

i can apply using both wp and hsmp stay.

however i have a 100 day gap from march 2006 - jun 2006
wondering if that would have any impact.

I wnt to india on business was supporting the project transition, my hsmp was approved, i got the ec stamped there, wound up everything in india and came over. thts why the delay.
ive been away for 150 days (incl the 100) in the last 4 years.

if ur 100 days was for UK employer you should be ok.
