Renting a room to a student.

Hallo members,

I am British citizens living with my wife from Cape Verde.

W have 4 bedroom house and we want to rent out one bedroom to her friend from there same country who just finsh her Masters degree and she is looking to apply for PSW.

1. What is the process in regards to council tax for her. Does she need to contact tax office and tell them she has finish her studies. because she would like in the future to apply for British Citizenship.

Any help will be appreciated

You have four bedroom house in UK? And want to rent out one room? Are there any other people in the other rooms?
