Can I Apply For British Passport?

Post by Robert82 » Thu Aug 20, 2009 11:00 pm

I was born on 1982 in South Africa. My birth mother is British, i was adopted by my grand parents on 1989 which are both British. I have been living in the UK for 20 years now. I have stamps on my previous passports from the home office stating that i have indefinite stay in UK. My question is can i apply for a British passport or do i have to go through the neutralization process to gain a passport? Thanks.

i dnt tink you need to apply for naturalisation, i think you are already british but you could call the HO, go on uk border agency and click on citizenship then follow the instruction there is also a number for the HO on the AN form guide .
