Appeal successful! Bring on the next stage

Post by kollybobs » Tue Apr 14, 2009 5:41 pm

Hello All
So my spouse and I initially had our application of Jan 2009 rejected on Feb 26 due to funds issue. The matter was because of internet printed statement that was submitted to cover part of the 3 months prior. Now i understand that this is wrong. Everytime you submit an internet statement will get your application refused -even of u support it with original bank statements.
So we hired a solicitor and this time around we already sent the original up-to-date bank statements which we had a hassle with our bank - the banks name ends with a direction that points to Cardiff from London on the M4- and waited for the appeal date on April. The judge allowed the appeal for me with my dependant since we could show that we'd always had the proper maintenance for the 3 months prior.
Now according to threads on this board, we have to go through another round of waiting before HO requires passports. I decided to share my story because of the wonderful support and encouragement that I got browsing through diverse issues on this site.
Good luck to you as you await a positive decision on your appeal. It does have an end, believe me!

Well done - I know the feeling! Meanwhile, yes, you are right, you are now in for what could be another long wait! My successful hearing was 12th Jan and I still haven't heard a thing from HO so it can take aggggges....

Yes, a long wait but you never know. Glad someone has finally gotten their visa after the appeal, first I have seen on this forum.

At last we have the request from HO to submit our passport so our visa can be issued. Since April (4 months) till August, it seems that the saga is about to end finally.
Like to encourage you if you are going thru to stick wit it...
