Urgent Help for HSMP to Tier 1: In Person Application

Post by sthakran » Wed Sep 02, 2009 10:29 pm

Hi Guys,

I would really appreciate your help and guidance on this one.

Has anyone applied in person for Tier 1 Visa, as an extension from existing HSMP visa. I was hoping to get an appointment in Public Enquiry offices and apply in person. Let me know, if this is possible.

Also .. what are the waiting times to get such an appointment.

Many thanks
S

Pick up the phone and dial the PEO number as given on the UKBA website. They usually release appointments for the day 6 weeks hence.

Thanks Push.

I would be calling Public enquiry office.

Can someone share their experience ...would be grateful

I want to make sure -- I get done the same day. Are there any cases, where applicants have been denied for some common mistakes or asked to apply using post for some reasons.

Cheers
S

Hi

I applied for extension from HSMP to Tier1 thro special service(in person).

As suggested by some one above, you have to call UKBA 60 days and also around 9' o clock.

I was only able to call when I was out from morning meetings, which was around 11am. By then it was too late.

So my suggestion is start calling exactly at 9 in the morning.

I tried many time to get an appointment but I did not get, so I decide to apply thro post.
I had all my application and documents arranged and was about to send thro post.

Nothing to loose I called every one hour from morning(the day before I was about to post) , fortunately some one cancelled the appointment for the next day and I took the appointment.
It was in Sheffield, when there the day before and I got my application processed in about 30 min, no questions asked as i did my application very precise to the guidelines

I think it is better to go in person cos the other applicant had many questions that he had to answer.

In about 1 hour i could see that people where questioned, if there was something that UKBA had doubt on.

I dont know about other but this is from Sheffield.

And also..
I visited this form very often see if someone query or doubts to relate to mine .. very helpful
