Hello,

Here is the big question - I am an Indian passport holder and currently residing in UK for the past 1.5 months on Tier One Visa. I already have my H1 application approved. Can I approach the US embassy in London for getting my Visa stamped?

Now the big confusion is I did an extensive search for related information over the Internet and see mixed views. Few sources say I have to stay in the UK for at least 6 months. The official website clearly says I am eligible to apply for Visa (also says its always better to apply from country of citizenship) I even called the London Visa office and got the same response.

Is there anyone that can throw more light on this situation?

Can anybody share their views? I am gathering enough information from various sources including workpermit.com and also in the process of opening a bank account, applying for NIN etc just to get through this VISA thing.
