entering UK different vissa

Post by tandoori » Fri Sep 04, 2009 5:27 pm

Hi,
I'm getting married end of this month at my home country. I have a Tier 1 Visa. My fiance has gotten student visa to enrol in October for 1 year Master course. As its a tight schedule we might not have time to apply for dependent visa.
Would there be problem if we enter Heathrow Airport, as a married couple with me with a Tier 1 visa and my future wife have a student visa?Im just afraid she might get denied to enter.

Thanks very much.

If she's a student, then there shouldn't be any problems entering as a student.

However, as a student, she cannot switch and subsequently apply for ILR with you. So, unless she qualifies for ILR under Long residence, she should get an entry clearance as your dependant before you apply for ILR.
