Permanent visa, leave uk?

If someone gets their indefo leave to remain visa can they come and go out of the country as much as they like?

yes they can, but they can't be out of the country more than 2yrs at any time. otherwise they may loose ILR.

Also if you want to apply eventually for citizenship make note of the residential requirements which take into account the length of time you spend out of the UK
