How Much time do they Require to process

Hey,

I am an Erasmus Mundus Shcolarship student and My classes are commenceing on 28h of September 09 .
I applied for Student Tier4 PBS visa on 15th July in Lahore VAC and I am still waiting .My application status is same as it was on very first day 'Application Forwarded to Islamabad OC on'

I sent an email to on Abu Dhabi Embassy 17thAug and they replied me that my application is under process.decision will be made when all the checks will be completed.

But I haven't got any response yet.Its 9 Sep09 I am worried why they are taking too much time.And shall I be able to get my visa in time

One more issue is that i have applied visa on a copy of IELTS as unfortunately, my original IELTS sheet was lost.Will it be an issue?.But I mentioned in application that they can verify it online??

if this is any consolation to you at all, but, i applied for my student visa on the 2nd of this month, got rejected on the 3rd and got my passport back on the 8th. i hope to reapply tomorow morning, and guess when my college starts? monday the 14th... hope you have better luck than i did

Well you should read lastest news from British High Commission that there are visa processing delay and student can be ask to provide new visa letter for visa.So they can ask you for new visa letter.

Hey how can it be possible that u applied on 2nd and got rejected on 3rd??as I knw visas are processed in AbuDhabi and in one day its impossible to process someone's application.
Anyways one of my scholarship fellow got his visa in 5 weeks timeframe.He applied from Islamabad.I am waiting for a response from embassy.At least they will ask me about new visa letter if there would be more delay.

I guess in case of rejection they don't take so much time??

I asked VAC and they told me that embassy will not ask for new visa letter when my classes start date will be passed then i would automatically ask my Univ to provide me new visa letter.I should wait till 25th of september then should ask for new visa letter.

you mean I have to ask my university to provide me a new visa letter now??So that when they will ask I must have that visa letter with me?

If you can get easily then Yes go for it.

Otherwise wait and see if they ask for new visa letter.

If your visa processing is getting delayed as per the processing time schedule given by the home office you can follow up with them on the status.
