Change from MSc to PhD

Dear All,

I have a question for my friend. He is going to apply for Tier 4 but he hasnt recived his visa letter for PhD. He has a visa letter for a MSc degree in another university. Is it possible that he applies for Tier 4 with this visa letter and then in UK change the course to PhD and get a new permission? As i read guidance, due to increase in length of stay, he has to apply again? Could he apply in UK or he should leaves the UK before apply?

Dear!
if ur friend will change his sponsor , he will have to get permissin from the embassy. but if his own university will give him admission, then it doesnot need to do.

but my question is that my friend should apply again outside UK or he could change the course in the UK and apply for a new visa?

Hi

He can do it in both ways.

He can apply again with new visa letter and can apply from oversea.

He can change college inside Uk as well.

So both way

Then if he wants to change college inside the UK and changes his college and course, he should provide all documents neede for the Tier 4 (as well as 28 day statements)?
