Post by shieldguy » Tue Sep 15, 2009 10:43 pm

I had applied for my extention to Tier 1 currently currently on HSMP,

Application Submitted : 11/08/2009
Confirmation received : 15/08/2009 by post
Applied from with in UK

I think my application is straight forward and i have no complication in it
But still waiting for visa to approved and my problem is that I need to get my passport quickly as I need to fly to another country soon and if wondering everybody getting their visa approved in 20 days at most and for me its taking so long
what should I do

Should I call them and what no to call them

Thanks

They do not generally provide status updates for individual cases, but if you want to try you can give it a shot. I had applied around the same time as you and I received mine last week.

Maybe they wanted to verify something additional from your application which is why it is taking slightly longer.
Please do not send me any Private Messages as I do not check these.

Processing time depends on the case workers work load and other internal factors. Mine extension took approx. 7 weeks. So would advice you to sit tight and don't loose your sleep over it. If you application is straight forward and you have submitted all required documents i think you have nothing to worry about.

For UT (urgent treatment) you need to take care of the following points
1. Should send UT request well in advance 2-3weeks before ur travel date
2. Letter from company regarding ur travel
3. Flight tickets supporting ur travel
4. most imp.. u need to mention in the cover letter that: If Caseworker can not decide the approval process befor ur travel date.. u shd ask him not to cancel/withdraw the application.. if not they will cancel the visa processing and send ur docs back...

The fax number is 01142775862 (somebody pls confirm if this fax no is right?? i searched on this board and putting it here)
