Submission of old passports

Submission of old passports

Is it necessary to submit old passports along with the fresh one, for Tier 1 General application?

They just ask for the current valid passport and the one which has your current leave (I am assuming yours is an extension case) on it. There is no harm in providing old passports if these show any past UK travels/ change in name etc. That said, most people provide their old passports.

In document checklist of VAF9 they ask number of passports being submitted, so I guess should submit old ones too. Having said that, I think there is a chance that they may stamp visa in the old passport :? .

I always submitted my old passport ( shown 1st visa & 1st entry ) as I think it was not harm to include it with new passport.

Once a job recruiting consultant wanted to know the reason of it. My reply was like that the old one was showing my visa history - from where and how it was started. The lady accepted my logic. :D

No. When you are issued new passport, Old passport is cancelled anyway. So your new approval should be stamped on New Passport.
