Post by abidjan1 » Thu Sep 24, 2009 12:04 pm

hello everyone

I was granted an ilr back in march 2009 as a familly member of an eu national.
do i have to reapply for my ilr after divorcing the EU national?
we have been married for more than 6 years.

thanks that's reassuring as this morning when i asked this question to the homeoffice advice line one adviser said that i have to reapply while the second told me that i don't.
it was really confusing.

Actually, it is not ILR but permanent residence (PR) which you obtained automatically and in your own right, that is your immigration status is now independent from your spouse's.
