Adding new document to the sent application

Dear All,
I posted my tier 1 visa application 2 days back. Unfortunately I received my income tax return (SARAL) just today due to the postal strike here in UK. Is there any chance I could send it to the home office for them to add the new document with my original application.
Please give me your valuable suggestion.

Have you sent two sets of documents from different source to prove your income, if you have, why do you worry about sending new docs.

If you haven't sent two sets of document from different source, you are in trouble. When you get your reference number, you could use that to send further doc I think.

But wait for more senior members to respond.

You can certainly add materials to your application; however, it seems safer to send off the addenda only once you can cite your application's reference number. I sent my additional material to the same address to which I'd sent the original (extension) application, and it was fine.
