When can my spouse & kid can apply for hsmp dependent vi

Post by simar » Sun Nov 06, 2005 10:25 am

Hi ALL,
I have come to UK on HSMP on 6th oct. On 24th Oct I join Cambridge based company on permanent position. I have got fully furnished 2 bed room house on 12 month letting agreement. opened up my bank account. Also will be getting landline phone & broadband connection in my house next week.
Basically my initial settle ment is over. My basic question to experts or people who have gone though same process is how soon can my wife & kid can apply for hsmp dependent visa. Should they wait till the 3 months probation period is over or can apply early.

Also what all document i should send to make their visa process smooth.

Also I have ring up DVLA office. My indian driving licence is valid for one year. Did people here purshase car & drive based on home country driving licence for inital one year. Is thier any issue comes up due to this or it is okay.

regards
simar

Simar,

You should have got them stamped at the time of your stamping.

Anyways, you can get them stamped now. How much old is your kid and have you done some feedback on your kid education.

Hi sjgul,
Since I do not have any job offer so I thought no point in taking wife & kid along. In my visa application too I have written that after my initial settlement I would like my wife & kid to join me in uk.
Now this initial settlement is subjective condition. Certainly after my three months probation period ,with enough rental accommodation, I think my family can join me. But that date is 24th January 2006. While I want is if they can join me in December. My kid is only 3 year old so school is not an issue.
