bank statement for maintanance fund

Post by mah » Sat Sep 26, 2009 5:09 pm

Dear All,

I have HSMP visa in the UK and am going to extend my visa for myself and dependents: Ihave questions regarding Bank statement to prove my Maintanance fund.

1. Is HSBC Saving account statements acceptable as prrof of maintanance fund.
2. As you know the saving account statements come quarterly. Can I send the one which is 2 months old?
3. If not, How can I get the monthly statement?
4. The statements that the HSBC bank sends to home address are all on the letterhead with the bank logo. Is this sufficientDo I need to get them stamped and sealed. Or Do I need to get a leeter from the bank. The branch says they do not do so.
5. What happens if you show you have sufficiend money in your current but you use your debit card to pay the application fee. And then your saving goes under the money they need for Maintanance fee.

Thanks all
Mah

No

Get a printout from HSBC branch and get it stamped/signed in line with the Guidance notes.

Original statements are fine

That should not happen.

Dear Push,

thanks for your answers. Regarding the last question, if the staement shows efficient money and after that you pay the application fee, Does it make the problem?

ideally when your application is being considered the balance in your account should be more than the minimum maintenance fund requirement.

Not at all. All they want to know is whether or not you have ready access to funds

Thanks again Push. So I am not that much worried now. I will show my income through my current account, I can show my maintance fund for 3 months through my saving account, And I will pay my application fee through my credit card. And it would be fine I think.
