If a person is switching from a spouse visa to ILR because the relationship has broken down due to domestic violence, it is not too long as long as there is strong supporting evidence.

On the other hand if a person person is applying on the basis of domestic violence that happened somewhere else in the world and a woman cannot live in that country because of the way that women surivors of domestic violence are treated there, it could be a while because that is a different type of case altogether.

What sort of application was it and when was it made?
