Hi All,
I want to apply for Tier1 Dependent VISA for my wife but not sure when to apply.
Can someone give me advice please?
I am on Tier1 General VISA which is valid until March 2013. My wife is currently on International organization VISA (non-settlement) VISA. I want to change her VISA status to Tier1 Dependent so that she can get PR. She can only change her VISA from out of country since she has to change from non-settlement to settlement (Tier1 Dependent) VISA.
I am eligible to apply for PR in April 2010 (since i will be completing my 5 years time by April).
Q1: Can i apply for her dependent VISA now( since she is travelling to India next week) or wait till I get PR?
Q2 : If i apply for her dependent VISA now then what will happen to her status when i get PR by APRil 2010. obviously she will be unable to apply for PR with me since she wouldnt have completed 2 years (as Tier1 Dependent) by April 2010. In this case what will happen to her VISA status? Will she be still a Tier1 Dependent? Eventhough the main applicant status changed from Tier1 VISA to ILR??
Please advise me for the best option.....

She will remain Dependent of PR holder but without PR (no recours to public funds etc etc).Wait for other member to reply on this too.
