work permit extension

Post by mariontaylor » Mon Oct 05, 2009 1:14 pm

hi.

i came to the uk in april 2006. My work permit was granted in feb o6, however my travel was delayed a while. Anyway my work permit isvalid for 48 months but the visa in my passport is valid for 60 months.

when my work permits 48 months have passed am i allowed to work without a work permit because i have a valid visa? if not do I have to apply for a new work permit or extension or a new visa - or will the same visa do?

also if i have to apply for a new workpermit or a visa, will my fingerprints be taken? I came to the uk in 2003 and my fingerprints were taken, however i traveled under a different name. will they still have a record of my fingerprints?

when i came in 2006 no fingerprints were taken.

I was hoping that i would get ilr and i would be safe, i wasn't neccessarily going to apply for citizenship, but because of the new rules if i want to stay in the UK i have to apply for citizenship, don't I? And when I am due to apply for citizenship they are obviously going to take my biometric data.

if anyone can help me with this i thank you very much for your help.

I don't really know a lot about UK visa system but I am sure that they will have your fingerprints in your record
would you please tell me where did they take your fingerprints in UK high commission in your country or at airport or you applied asylum or you were arrested and they took it in police station???
