Lived 7 years in UK n left. Can I come back to apply for PR.

Hi,

I entered UK in Sep 2002 and graduated from a reputed Uk University with Master degree. I remained on student visa untill I got my HSMP in May 2007. My HSMP was issued to me untill May 2009. Therefore, I had a legitimate stay in UK for almost 7 years. That is 5 years as student and 2 years as HSMP. In May 2009, I left the UK and came to US as student when I was actually eligible to apply for my second extemsion.

Unfortunately,I am not in UK now and not liking US much. It is almost 5 months now, I have been abroad. Can I return to UK now on any visa and continue my stay since I know I will be eligible for PR after living 10 years legally in UK.

Is there anyway, I can come back to UK and complete my 10 years to be a permanent resident. Please suggest any options!

If you don't return before a six months continuous absence, then you may lose your 'continuous legal residence' required under Long residence (276A-276D).
