ILR to Naturalisation timeline

I am one of the many frustrated EEA4 applicants waiting the best part of a year for my ILR to process, which was due to me on March 2 this year...
when I finally receive my ILR, will it be backdated to the date on which it was due, or will it be dated from the day it is granted, as this affects the timeframe of a citizenship application, which can only be made 12 months after immigration restrictions have lapsed for a non-EEA national such as myself...

It will state the date it was issued on. However, it merely confirms your rights. So you can still apply for naturalisation at the completion of your sixth anniversary of treaty rights. Hope it helps. see also :
