Grandmother scenario. France Citizenship links?

Post by lorencew » Sat Oct 10, 2009 5:58 pm

Here are some basic facts:

A grandmother born in France early 1900's.

A mother born outside of France 1945 and never resided in France.

A son born outside of France and never resided there.

It is a stretch, but is there anyway for the son to claim any kind of citizenship? I think not, but any ideas are appreciated.

Also, does anyone have any France Citizenship internet links in English :?

Instead of basically starting 3 or 4 threads asking pretty much the same thing but adding in little bits and pieces each time, why not have just the 1 (ONE) thread with ALL the information in it?

I'm think of claiming citizenship from the Planet Zanussi cos my mother was taken aboard a Zanussian Space Ship and forced to wash clothes in 1961 when pregnant with me. As this was a blatant breach of Space Corps Directive 122911 (space operative must ensure all hummus is scraped off plates BEFORE insertion into the dish washer), the Zanussian equivalent of Art 8, can I get Zanussian citizenship?

It would be useful to me as I am thinking of relocating to Zanussi to take advantage of the hot summers (230C!) total lack of snow. Plus they are looking to recruit a lot of IT guys.

Does anyone know if I will be allowed to claim Zanussian benefits? I'm particularly keen help with an an Spam breathing system because the planet's methane gas atmosphere does not agree with me, makes me fart even more.

Wrgrr rtrtr ercnoerwi woqnncnwqqjnfergtgt rgswetrevrvbtny (Zanussian for 'bye!')

All details at once? That was not working. Someone will come along who knows how to research the law.

This is the Europe section. I would not ask this in the UK forum.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/French_nationality_law is a good primer.
