Work permit dependant visas

I am currently here on a work permit...which my employer got for me after my students visa. I got married here in the UK to someone with a student's visa. Can he apply as my dependant from here? If yes, what is the right form to use?
PS: Any help will be highlly appreciated. Many thanks!

Entry clearance is mandatory for entry in this category. In after-entry cases, however, where the applicant was not admitted as a spouse or child, caseworkers may waive the no-switching provision in the Rules if they are satisfied that all the other requirements are met and that exceptional compassionate circumstances prevail....
Should probably apply for entry clearance (196A(v)).
