Qualifying period for ILR

Post by KrisRaj007 » Tue Oct 13, 2009 3:55 pm

Hi, Can anybody help on calculating my 28 day qualifying period for ILR. I came to UK on 16-JAN-05 . As per the rule I can apply on 19-DEC-09. But, this day is a Saturday being holiday I cannot apply. My question here is when should I apply for the stamping is it on 18-DEC-09 (19-dec being holiday) or 21-DEC-09.

Appreciate your help.

Thanks.
Kris.

28 days is 28 days... it falling on a holiday doesn't allow you to apply earlier! :-)

if you are applying by post, you can send it off on the 18th so it reaches them the next working day (which is either 19th or 21st, depending on whether they receive mail on Saturdays or not); if you are applying in person at a PEO, you should book the appointment for 21st or later.
