Validating Bank Statements

I will be applying for the work study permit visa from USA.

The USA banks such as Citibank etc. do not have a policy of authenticating statements. Instead, they provide a document which shows the name, account number and balance of the bank account along with the average balance of account.

I was wondering if my online statements (which have the bank logo on it) and this document would be sufficient to prove the authenticity of my account and the amount of money in it.

That letter will be fine if mention you do not have less than required balance(£2800) for 90 days. But you can also get online statements print that should be attested from the bank.

Thank you for your prompt reply.
I spoke to a banker and he said that he would not be able to provide any personal letter OR attestation of my statements. Company Policy.
The document that he provides authenticates my account and displays the avg balance of that account.
The banker also stated that the statements which I print and the ones that my bank would provide would be exactly the same.
It has the company logo and everything.
Would those statements do with no attestation from the bank? I could get them notarized from another place. Would that be sufficient?

Hello there, please read this

"If you wish to submit electronic bank statements from an online account these must contain all of the details required. In addition, you will need to provide a supporting letter from your bank, on company headed paper confirming the authenticity of the statements provided. This must be dated no more than 1 month prior to the date of the application. Alternatively an electronic bank statement bearing the official stamp of the bank in question will be accepted. The stamp should appear on every page of the statement. Statements which simply show the balance in the account on a particular day are not sufficient.

JPMorgan and citibank both only provide the document authenticating the bank account and the current amount in the account. They refused to give me an official bank stamp because they say they do not have one.
Since I subscribe to paperless statements, I only receive the electronic copy which is a pdf file of the statement of what I would have received in the mail.

If the bank does not stamp my statements, is there ANY other way to convince them that my statements are that of what the bank has provided for me?

I don't think it is a problem to ask the bank to write a letter for you confirming the authenticity of their statement and you have held the ??2800 (or equivalent) for at least three months attach to it. If they refuse to do so, get an advice from UKBA or the British embassy in the US.
