A8 National marries Student under TIER 4

Hi i am from lithuania, one of the A8 national citizens. I am 20 years old. I would like to come in uk and stay. My fiance is a international student under leave to remain in UK, his visa expires in 2011. We would like to get married and stay here together. Is there any way we can go forward please. I am just so much confused about many different rules.any help would be appreciated. Thanks

yes, we have been staying for 8 months, we have email contacts for 16 months and we have pictures also... i was in london. in march i had to go back for some reason and i am back in november again. so what do you think?

1. Go to UK.
2. Have your fiancÃ© apply for a COA (Certificate of Approval to Marry) from UKBA.
3. Get married in church/mosque/registry/approved building.
4. Have your partner apply for a 5 year UK Residence Card on Form EEA2.
5. Live happily ever after (hopefully).

in addition to above
I think u need to be 21 to get this permission of COA now

Basically this type of relationship sets all the bells ringing at UKBA HQ and they'll go over ur applications with a fine tooth comb, but if ur relationship is genuine and u have the proofs you have nothing to fear but be aware a lot of Asian men are using Eastern EU girls as a route to UK and whilst not wanting to upset a whole culture, those of the Former Soviet Union are hardly the most tolerant racially.

I'm not sure if the 21 age limit applies to EU citz, also I'm not sure if u need to have been registered on WRS before be able to claim a treaty right. I'll leave that for others?

Agree with Rozen.

You will not be required to be over 21, as it is legal for someone age 16 to get married in the UK with parental consent and 18 without.

The 21 years rule applies, if you are applying under national rules for leave to remain.

It is vital that national rules are not confused with EU legislation.

OP, you will need to ensure that the EEA national is exercising treaty rights in the UK, as the non-EEA national will not qualify otherwise.

If exercising treaty rights in any capacity other than as worker, then a WRS is not required. If you have been on WRS for a period of 12 months, then you qualify to apply for registration certificate, like any other Community Workers.

First of all thanks very much for putting Asian men on number 1 how could yo u possibly judge someone just from his/post that their marriage will be one of convenience. Here in Ireland I have seen a lot lot lot of Russian and other broken parts of Russia they are doing the same what ASIAN men are doing in UK why can't you write about them they live in Russia and they are using any other countries passport just to live in EU first do some research that who is the biggest abuser.. and we have found here that most of girls who come over to study first thing they will do find any Irish or British man get their documents sorted then will think about some thing else,

I say what I see, my experience is based on what I've seen, I'm not being discouraging, in fact the girl speaks Bengali and I have encouraged her. As for the rest of your post I'm afraid the lack of punctuation is giving me a headache so I haven't bothered reading it.

Most of the peope abusing the system that i've seen have also been Asian. Not too many Russians where i live but there are plenty of Asians and being friends with some of them they talk about what they and their friends have done to get in the system.

Why not discourage people? Those sorts of people should be discouraged so that the abuse of the system decreases.

Incitement is not a good thing. Vilifying people from Asian background is not very nice either. You are trying to forment dissent , which usually result in tread being closed, and debate brough to an abrupt end.

Not trying to forment dissent at all Obie, just speaking from experience. Someone else in a different part of the country might have a different experience to mine however that is the experience that i have living where i do and knowing the people that i do.
