PSW outside UK - Police Registration Certificate

Hi Everyone

I have been recently rejected my application for PSW within the UK. The reason is that I did not provide with my Police Registration Certificate. I actually didn't know about that I need to provide it since the PSW requirements are so confusing.

My Police Reg Certf has not been up-to-date with the addresses I stayed at simply because I genuinely forgot to fulfill these requirements from the very first time I registered with the Police (3 years ago now). Today I have been to the Police Headquater to update my addresses but unfortunately I couldnt do it straight away since there are loads of new coming students so the nearest appointment is mid-November. Second thing the Police gentleman said that I will have a warning for not updating my addresses. This is fair but it may affect the decision to be taken by the HO case worker.

My Student visa is going to expire by the end of Oct - 09 so I cant attend this appointment offered by the Police. I am thinking then of applying from my home country.

The main question is, apart from all the required documents, forms and funds, do I need to provide the embassy with my Police Registration Certificate or will they not ask me for it ?

Please share your experiences and you have gone through a PSW application from outside the UK.

I got my PSW today and from outside the UK. Although I had the police registration with me, I chose not to include it since it was not mentioned explicitly in the requirements. In fact, you suppose to hand over the police certificate to the police station when you leave the UK. Entry clearance requires a new police registration and normally within 7 days of entering the UK. Focus on including the main requirements and then if you wanted to add anymore documents to support your case just go ahead and do it.
