Student 'Practice Deception'

Post by fkan » Thu Oct 22, 2009 4:10 pm

Hi there,

I started a postgraduate study in UCL in Sept 08. I was working in Glasgow since Feb 08. Due to my financial status, I used my work permit which was to be expired in Feb 09 to study in London. In March 09, I returned HK to apply for a visa. I was not aware of the change of student visa and was told about the visa letter. Due to the course schedule, I returned UK early April with my BNO, British National (Overseas), passport and reported as a visitor. After taking me into a room, I told them I am a student in UCL. I was deported on the same day and was told my further application would NOT be affected. Yet, my subsequent application and administrative review failed on the ground that I have "PRACTICED DECEPTION", followed by a 10-year ban and automatic refusal for further application.
I have even asked my tutor who is a district councilor in HK to write a letter to British Consulate General for an interview, yet it failed too...
I would like to know what I can do to return UK and continue my study. My tutor is still reserving the place for me in the coming Easter, and I am so desperate to return... Please really help and give me some advices...

millions thanks,
FK

You'll have to try and get the ban overturned, which is easier said that done. Your best bet is to probably study in HK and continue with your life with the UK out of the equation.
