Change from WP to HSMP???

Once HSMP is approved do we need to do anything to get the status converted from WP to HSMP.

Was it an in-country application? Check whether your passport stamp was changed to code 1 (no restrictions on employment). If not, you have to fill in form FLR (IED) and submit it to the HO.

Ford, please check with goodluck's posts. Where he has mentioned that HSMP stamp superseds existing WP stamp. Also i feel your FLR (HSM) replaces new FLR(IED).

Ford,

Could please give me all the details about how you went about converting your WP to HSMP. I have a friend who is currently in UK on workpermit and quiet keen to convert to HSMP as it gives the option to change your employer if needed.

I have applied for HSMP directly so am familiar with the process. But don't know much about how to convert from WP to HSMP.
