Waiting for my MBA Results

My student visa is getting expired on 31st Oct 2009 so I would like to ask few questions related to my student extensions.

I have submitted my MBA dissertation and waiting for my reults and according to my uni my results will be announced somewhere in middle of the november 2009. My uni gave me a Visa Letter for Student Extension in which it is clearly written that my course EXPECTED END DATE is 30 November 2009, which is only a month after my Visa expired. I am applying by post as I couldnt get an appointment for in person.

I would like to that can I get the Student extension in this case?

Can I withdraw my application of Student Extension Once Ill get the results of my Dissertation and can apply for PSW?

Please Advise me as I am so Confused and got very short time.

Hello there,
You should be able to extend your visa as student with no problem, because nobody knows the results yet. You can apply for PSW when you get your degree

You may write a letter explaining your current circumstances with your application. But don't let your visa expire without doing nothing.

You need to understand that until the university announces the results and inform you that you got the award ( passed), you cannot apply for PSW. My advice don't try to bite more than you can chew.. handle your case step by step

You will have to Apply for a student Visa Extension as your results dont come out till after your visa expires and you dont want to become out of status. I was in the same situation when it was International Graduate Scheme *IGS*. Submitted dissertation in November, Results not Out till the Following January, yet my Visa Expired in September, I sent in an application for an extension as a student awaiting result * I let my university help me with that* I got a 6 months extension. As After the 6 months Visa was close to running out I filed my IGS after then.

p.s: If you apply for a student extension and withdraw it, you will loose your money and you will become out of status as soon as you request a withdrawal. So best thing is complete your student extension 1st and the your PSW after.
