Again Telling you , don't get feared by what consultants are saying.
You will have to spend some time yourself for HSMP as it may not be a straight forward process as other immigrations, will have to go back to all your previous employers and get detailed experience letters specifying the details as discussed and required on this forum.
For claiming spouse points also , you need to sit , discuss , arrange all your evidences coolly.
Don't be frightened by consultants as they don't have expertise in HSMP (very few have detailed knowledge) , they always encourage for other immigrations which are straight forward and time consuming , arrange your evidences and go for it ( I don't know they got the statistics you have quoted).
